Trial was had to the county court on October 10, 1962. Both parties appeared by counsel, and it was conceded that plaintiff had adequate and good grounds for legal separation. Defendant served no answer or other pleading. At time of trial both parties were fifty-two years of age, had been married since 1928 and had two self-supporting adult children as the issue of their marriage. For many years defendant had been employed as a salesman for the Chevrolet dealership at Kaukauna. In 1961 defendant received a salary of 10,350 but early in 1962 sustained a serious heart attack which has prevented him from working, and has disabled him to the extent that he is receiving social security disability benefits of $121 per month. His only earnings from his employment in 1962 were $1,300 received prior to his heart attack. Plaintiff had no gainful occupation during the 34 years of marriage, and is presently under a physicians care. There is no likelihood that she will be able to undertake employment in the future to aid in her own support.
